Oh, it's ON.
-
It's been an hour, Beamish....IS it on?
-
I went out for lunch :(
-
Convergence is just ruining me.
-
Really?
I find convergence the easiest. Two lines can only converge at one point in space, making the third line irrelevant OR a useful tool for indicating how close you are.
I usually just try and find where I think lines A and B converge, then look at line C. If line C looks straight, I know I've got it. If it's off, I know I need to adjust.
It's like math... two equations will let you solve two unknowns. But three equations makes it easier/faster to solve two unknowns...

Amazing advice, brought my scores out of the teens and down to 2s and 3s! Thanks!

for common knowledge: a parallelogram has two sets of parallel edges. the corners are not right angles, thats all.
-
My scores improved dramatically when I played from home... totally forgot my monitor at work is stretched and it screws me up.

Incorrect.
A parallelogram is a quadrilateral with opposite edges equal in length, and opposite angles equal in magnitude. A rectangle is a special kind of parallelogram with all 90 degree angles, and a square is a special kind of rectangle with all equal sides.
Ergo, all squares are rectangles, and all rectangles are parallelograms... but the reverse is not true.

The sum of the square roots of any two sides of an isosceles triangle is equal to the square root of the remaining side!
-
That's a right triangle, you idiot.
-
I like how it's not even a right triangle, really.
-
Alright, so at first I thought you had mangled the Simpsons reference, because I always assumed that the guy in the next stall correcting him was correct.
It turns out that he does in fact say square roots instead of squares, and it's a reference to the Wizard of Oz which got it wrong initially.
INTERESTING.

false.

Oddly enough, I just did a pythagorean theorem proof for fun. I was inspired by this:

I also made these the other day for this thread, but didn't post them because I thought no-one cared:

i'm convinced pingu posted that comic.

It was not!
